Founded in Hamburg by entrepreneur Claus-Johannes Voss, banker Alfred Nehemias and engineer August Eberstein, the company was originally called SIMPLO FILLER. In 1910, it introduced the white star with six rounded points, representing the tip of Mont Blanc, which was to become the Monblanc logo. The legendary “Meisterstück” fountain pen, a masterpiece associated with the number 4810, the height of Mont Blanc, was born in 1924. Montblanc is now a leading brand in the luxury writing instruments segment, with a history of more than 110 years of tradition, passion and craftsmanship combined with an aptitude for precision and perfection. Having diversified into the leather goods, watchmaking and jewellery categories, in 2001 the brand extended itself also to the perfumery sector with two iconic lines: Explorer, for the free-spirited man who loves adventure, and Legend, for the charismatic man with timeless charm.
